This is Jackson Rourke. He’s 15, he likes Arnold Palmers (good fucking choice), and clearly likes to rip it up with backside grinds. He’s our newest addition to the team and we’re excited to see what he has to show you in the future.
2012 is gonna be a gnar-tastic year and we’re gonna have a bunch of new things for you, like new decks, shirts, hardware, and of course a little secret video project that we’re hoping everyone likes. Keep an eye on our site, and our boards under your feet.

You can now pick up Thrive decks at pretty cool little place called Mosaic Skate Gallery. Check them out over at the corner of Riverdale ave and 230th st in the Bronx. It’s both a skate shop and an art gallery, pretty fucking balla.
Really this is an awesome skateshop I’ve ever see. Like this post totally as a skater. Thanks dude

come and join Thrive Skateboards and Smooth-NYC for a day of skating and music.
All day we’ll be at Yonkers skate park, selling decks, giving out stickers, and partying.
There will be live bands on at 5pm, but before that music will be pumping through a pretty serious sound system. Maybe there will even be a board given out? eh? you’ll have to show up to find out.

I hope everyone had a great Go Skate Day. I know Thrive Skateboards did.
First and foremost, I have to give a pat on the back and say thanks to A.J. Chiarella and John Sepa for getting super involved with the local skate scene and holding a great event.
They did an amazing job at organizing the Go Skate Day event at the Yonkers skate park; complete with multiple contests, excellent prizes, refreshments, live music, and they even got the mayor of Yonkers for a ribbon cutting. All in all it was a full day of sick skaters, great music, and lots of friends. Also a shout out to Max Johl who did a great job M.C.ing the whole thing.
Most of the Thrive team could be found beastin’ in the 4 contests on the quarter pipe, the bank, the hubba, and a finale game of S.K.A.T.E.
Aceman walked away with 3rd place in the QP contest and 2nd place in the bank contest… and he earned himself some loot from 2nd Nature skate shop.
Walking away with a Thrive deck, in the S.K.A.T.E comp, was Jake Stokes. Hope he likes the new board.

I manage Ardsley Village Skatepark in Ardsley. I’m writing because a bench was taken from our park on Saturday Sept 10. Our kids raised money to buy that bench. It cost $400 and we have NO MONEY to replace it. If hear anything about it, PLEASE tell the people to just bring it back to the Skatepark. Just bring it back. The kids are pretty sad about losing it. Thanks very much!!!
